You would make him cry. As much as I would like to see you take the section leader position, it's his senior year after all which means he is better than all of us (except me, because I'm a senior too )

Well, you're obviously pretty good with motivation, since you were able to get Marleigh and Victoria buzzing before sectionals. And it sounded like it helped a little bit. They were already slightly warmed up (even though we marched before we played).... lolol Anthony, I just realized we didn't warm up in sectionals. Whatever. I guess the playing from memory was our warm up... Anyway, Justin, do you think you would be able to lead sectionals? Do you know enough about the music to help all low brass? Do you have the style perfect? Dynamics? I know you don't like Josh being section leader, and I know you could be section leader, and you probably would win in a challenge, but I think he knows a little bit more about music based on the entire band: balance, style.... conducting?? If you think you know enough about all of the low brass' music, I say go for it. But think about it: you're going to be low brass section leader next year anyway. Is it worth taking Josh's last position of power before he leaves, even though you're going to have that power next year?

lol Texting?? Everyone does that during band. Did you here what Larry was doing? He was playing games on his cell phone. During the entire sectional. Until Geof took it away and gave it to me. It was really starting to bug me, having to tell him to put his phone away. He kept saying he was "checking to see if his mom had called"(!?) I got his phone just before full brass, and he kept coming over to my seat to try to get his phone back. ugh..... He really got on my nerves today. Next time he has his phone out during practice/sectionals: LAPS! And he loses his phone.

Michael, I think Larry responds better if you try to talk it out with him. Let him think of the consequences, just don't be like "OMG LARRY STFU".

Is it worth taking Josh's last position of power before he leaves, even though you're going to have that power next year? Right. For instance, I am good with telling people what they should be doing even though I don't do it myself. I am good at figuring out what's wrong with stuff and telling people to fix it even though I need to work on fixing it myself first. The thing is, if no one is telling them what's wrong, what they should do, etc, then no one will.

I think Rob should take the low brass section leader spot. Josh just isn't a good section leader. He blames things on everyone but himself, he wants to be drum major so bad he acts like he is, and he gives annoying time-wasting speeches because he thinks he's more important than the rest of his section. ROB, CHALLENGE HIM.
Michael, tripping doesn't count as an injury. In football you break bones, not instruments.
I think marching band is more mentally demanding than sports like football and baseball, that's for sure. I think it takes a little more mental strain than sports like tennis and basketball, but not a lot more. Marching band is a challenge because of the multi-tasking, not the physical aspects of it.
HOLY CRAP MARCHING BAND FOOTBALL GAME LET'S DO IT. Seriously, that would be awesome. We can't do tackle football because it's not fair to have a kid like Larry against a kid like Justin, but tag football would be great. Let's do it.

Because if we stopped arguing then this forum would be more pointless than it already is.

Hey Michael, I didn't have a chance to get everyone to sing you happy birthday. Maybe I can get Austin to call you and sing you happy birthday in a creepy, Michael Jackson voice.

lol Thanks. I've kept my birthday quiet the last three years: no birthday singing in any class... only at my parties and at lunch today. I'm hoping to keep it like that or all of high school. We can't do tackle football because it's not fair to have a kid like Larry against a kid like Justin, but tag football would be great. WUT R U TALKING ABOWT?? LARRY WUD PUMMEL JUSTIN!!
