Dynasty City was a forest of concrete and metal in the middle of the world. Its tall buildings reached up to the sun. Something was always happening in Dynasty City, vehicles chugged along the streets, citizens moved from work to home.
But beyond the superficial skin of the city lay a darker, more violent core. An unofficial war was being waged between two factions, the Heroes and the Villains. Both groups were given names by the citizens who saw only part of the war.
But do theses names fit? Are either of these groups truly good? The question is often at the forefront of Senatorial debate.
The Senators govern Dynasty City and are often swayed in their voting by either faction.
Dynasty's core is rotten.

Jebus emerged from a back alley and melded in with the crowd. Behind him he left a cut and broken individual, a Villain. Jebus' nostrils flared at the thought of them. He hated them, he hated them to the very core of his being. They killed his father and he was determined to retun the favor.

Vincent walked down the street casually. He was bumped and jostled by the normal people walking down the streets, as always. He checked his watch and looked out into th street. A taxi was waiting.
Just like it was supposed to.
Vincent walked across the street and opened the side door, entering the back seats. Another person was already there. He was a weasly looking man in a black suit.
"You have the information?" Vincent asked monotone. THe man smirked and offered Vincent a briefcase. Vincent casually flipped it open and observed the contents.
"Senate orders, politician meetings and dates, everything we need to comepletely destabilize the Senate for the villans." the weasly man grinned. Vincent closed the case and nodded.
"Indeed. 'he spoke for the first time. " This could cause a great deal of damage." he said. He reached into his coat and pulled out a desert eagle pistol and held it to the man's head.
He fired.
Vincent stepped back out of the car with the suitcase and made his way back down the street. There would be quite a price for info such as this.

Voren Nydari walked past Jebus in the rush of the crowd. He gave a slight nod of recognition, then lowered his hood over his eyes as he accelerated toward the fallen Villain. The first catch of the day.
Voren slipped into the darkness of the alley Jebus had just emerged from. He looked the Villain over and pushed him onto his back with his foot. He peered at his face. Kielik Rex. He had known him years before. He had even once allied with him in one of his raids. It saddened him to see his former companion mauled so. He kicked Rex again. The fallen Villain stirred a little, then fell still. Completely still.
Voren stooped down and searched the Villain's pockets. A knife, a wad of cash, and a key. Slipping the knife under his pocket, he examined the key for a moment. It was small, blackened as if it had been burnt. He quickly tied a string around it and tied the key around his neck, dropping the key under his shirt. The cold metal stung a little, but he ignored the cold.
Next, he turned to the wad of cash. Seventy dynas (possible currency? 1 dyna 1d; 10d = $1). Not much. But any amount would do. Voren stuffed the wad of cash in his pocket and, peering out into the street, slipped into the crowd, following Jebus.

Jeirhas followed the crowd, not really going anywhere. He let his mind wander and brush against those around him. He used this trick often to find Villains. Other Heroes condemned this practice of Mindbreaking as an invasion of privacy. Some of his supports reminded the accusers of what time we are living in.
Sometimes privacy had to be sacrificed for security.
Nothing in the minds of these pedestrians. Jeirhas Rinn detached from the crowd into a darkened building. He nodded to several other Heroes before making his way up several flights of stairs. He opened the door to his room. A bed, a bathroom and a Newscreen. It wasn't mauch, but it was his home.
He took out a small rod with a spear tip. He pressed a button on the side and the rod extended into a full length spear. Raln. His father's spear. He set the spear by the wall and turned on the Newscreen.

Voren broke off from the crowd and moved silently into another alleyway. Making sure he was completely alone, he took out a lighter and lit it three times.
"I'm here!" he called. "I've got what you wanted!"
A hooded figure materialized out of the darkness and approached the thief.
"Very good," the figure said. "Let me see it."
Voren showed the figure the key and the money. The figure took the money and counted it.
"Not much, I see," he said. "And what do we have here? A key?"
"The Villain Jeirhas killed was Kielik Rex, one of our former followers. He was carrying that key. I believe he may have been on his way to some kind of store house or something. The money may have been for whatever supplies the Villains had sent him to retrieve."
"I see," the man said. "Good job, Nydari. I will summon you when I have another assignment for you. In the mean time, see what else you can scrounge up for me. The poor of Dynasty City always need help."
"Of course," Voren said, bowing in deference to the hooded man.
The man began to walk away. Then Voren remembered something.
"Senator Garingold!" The man stopped and turned around. "Rex also had this." He tossed the knife he had taken from the Villain to the Senator. Zen Garingold looked the blade over carefully. A grim look came across his face, and he nodded to Voren, then dematerialized.
Voren jumped up and grabbed a ladder that reached down from the apartment in the back of the alley. He climbed up the ladder and crawled in a window several stories above the ground. He tossed his sword onto his bed and threw his cloak over it. He went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He hadn't shaved in a while, and he hadn't bathed or slept in days. He had been out tracking a Villain for the last two days, and he had been tracking a Hero for a day before that. The Hero had apparently been a traitor, and Voren had been ordered to eliminate him. Of course, he had succeeded, but he had received a few wounds from the traitor. Now that he was home, he could finally patch up his wounds.
He walked back out into his bedroom and threw his dirty cloak and other clothes into a tub of water. He grabbed his sword and returned to the bathroom. He hopped in the shower and quickly cleaned up, then proceeded to wash his sword. The blood stains came out of the sharp blade easily, and he was soon done.
He placed his clean sword on the bed, then washed his clothes. He got dressed, then took his sword, and like the awesome vigilante he was, he used the blade to shave himself. When he was done, he sheathed his sword, wrapped his cloak around his shoulders, and walked down the stairs of the apartment. When he reached the ground floor, he took a 20d coin and tossed it to the man awaiting his payment for the rent.
Suddenly, something caught his eye. The Newscreen across the street showed several Senators discussing something. Behind them, a video of a robbery could be seen. Voren was shocked. He recognized the thief. It was Kielik Rex. And Jeirhas was chasing him. He couldn't believe Rex would allow himself to be caught on film. He was too stealthy to make a mistake like that. Something wasn't right.
Voren threw his hood up and grasped the hilt of his blade. He walked out into the crowd cautiously. Rex was still alive somewhere. And the man who had been disguised as him must have been hiding something. He had to stay on the alert. Anything could happen now.

Jeihas smiled at seeing himself on the news. The news reported it as "more evidence of the increase in violence" in Dynasty City. they had no idea of the war being waged in the shadows.
The next story came on. Senator Cassy Bur-Mo was speaking about the violence and how the Senate and its militant arm, the Enforcement, was doing everything in its power to halt the violence.
Jeirhas frowned, he knew the Senate was not doing anything. The Heroes and the Villains both held sway over the politics, and so far, the two factions had nullified each other on certain issues.
He looked onwith disgust at the Senators. Their white robes were stained with innocent blood. Countless lives had been lost for the Senate. Jeirhas was determined it would not be in vain.

Vincent walked into an old warehouse at the edge of the city. Nobody even knew this place still existed....except for Vincent and the Dynasty Templars, as they called themselves. The DT were a gorup of people who had grown discontent with well....everything. The corruption in the Senate, the constant fighting between these so called' heros and villans'.
Though the Templars only had about thirty members, they had one special bonus. THe scientist who had saved Vincent had joined the movement and provided his knowledge to give them super weapons.
THey were called Knightmares. (giant robots!!...kinda like Gundam.....) They were still in the experimental faze but were the best thing the Templars had going for them.
As Vincent stepped into the center of the room, the section of the floor lowered down underground, revealing a large hanger bay with barracks, mess halls and all other things. VIncent sighed and headed to the boss's office.

Dynasty City had never been on friendly terms with the surrounding lands. Conflicts broke out years earlier, but eventually subsided into an uneasy stalemate. Many citizens regarded other nations as inferior.
Such "inferior" nations included the Spire Peaks to the northwest, and the Technicolor Lowlands to the northwest. To the south and east lay the Dead Fields, open plains littered with the ruins of a fallen empire. Most notably the remains of a large tower.
The Dynasty City outskirts extended all the way west, to the Sea of That's What You Think.

Blood gushed from the red stump that had once been a nose. Glitch took the miserable excuse for a man by the throat and threw him against the wall. "Tell me," said Glitch, "Why did you stalk her from her 7th grade classroom?" The man only gave a wide eyed stare of panic and fear. "How did it feel when you took away her innocence? What did you hear when she cried for help?............. Did you know that the beating you gave her was so bad that she only lived for about two hours? Did you know that when i found her, she was only able to tell ME what happened before she died?......... Do you know what i felt when i was unable to help her as tears streamed from her beautiful blue eyes?" The man shook his head. "I felt nothing........ Nothing but contempt for you and the deeds that you had committed." Glitch took out a pair of handcuffs, which he used to fasten the man to a pipe outlining the wall. As Glitch walked out the door, he gave the condemned man a few parting words. "God may be forgiving, but i am neither man nor god." With that, Glitch set the far side of the wall aflame. He then threw a crude saw to the serial rapist. "You wont be able to saw off those chains before the fire gets you... But i hear that bone is rather easy to cut."
Glitch stayed outside to watch the small house burn. The man never left the house.

Jeirhas awoke from a short nap. He took a quick shower, dressed, and headed back outside. He carried a compressed Raln on his belt. He seldom used, he preferred Mindbreaking to any sort of weapon.
He passed a man with a visor over his face. When eh attempted to Break his thoughts, he was unable. Instead a sudden pain in his skull caused him to fall to one knee, and clutch his head. The pain soon subsided and the man was gone.
Pondering this strange event, Jeirhas passed the charred remains of a house. Several News station were there reporting on in. Jeirhas passed behind on of the reporters and kept going.

The leaders of the Dynasty Templars stood around a map of Dynasty City, when Vincent walked in. One turned.
"Ah, Vincent. Do you have the info?" he asked. Vincent nodded and laid the briefcase of the table. Two men began looking over the documents.
"This is good." one said. "With this we can easily bring this corrupt Senate to its knees. Actually this is perfect. THe times here correspond with the date our Knightmares will be finished. In three weeks." he explained. Vincent nodded.
"Vincent." a larger one spoke. "I want you to lead the Knightmare squad. We will attack the Senate when it is weak, but we MUST have those machines. Will you do it?"
VIncent nodded, honored to be given such a task. "Of cousre sir." he said. The man nodded.
"Good. THen head down to the hanger. Doc will show you the details."

"In three weeks. The Senate will be gathered for an important meeting and the Heros and Villains will be fighting from an eh....ditraction of ours." the lead boss said, smirking. Vincent decided to leave.
He headed down to the Knightmare bay where the pilots were going over their machines.

The leader stared at him for a moment. 'How the fuck did you get in here?" one asked. Another shrugged and dropped the intruder through a trap door...which deposited him into the city sewer....far awy from them.

Kronos stepped into the dark room of Laurence. "i heard that you needed something dead?" said Kronos as a ";D" appeared on his visor. "Yes," replied Laurence, "i need you to assassinate a member of the senate." "Which one?" said an intrigued Kronos. To which Laurence replied, " Any of them. We just need some panic in the streets." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kronos walked out of the building with a desert eagle in his hand and a "XD" on his visor.

It was time. Three weeks had gone fast and Vincent had to thank his cybernetic parts for the fast learning. At the current moment he was in the Knightmare hanger along with the rest of the pilots. THe Templars were divided up:
five Gloucesters,
fourteen Glassgows
ten Gekks
and Vincent in the Lancelot model.
A voice spoke on the loud speaker. "Alright boys. Time to go Dust off in ten minutes, get sortied and move out!"
the pilots ran to their respective machs and climbed in. Vincent slipped into the Lancelot and was, once again, amazed at the sheer technelogical brilliance of the machine.
A glowing timer began to count down on his screen. He waited.
the timer hit zero.
"Launch!"
thirty knightmares raced out of the old abandoned warehouse at super speeds zooming towards their destination. The city center.
The Senate.

As the Senate Convened for the first time in the new year, a growing crowd gathered around the procession. Some waved their hands and shouted praises, but most others shouted obscenities at the Senators.
A platoon of The Enforcements kept the path wide for the Senators. Each was covered in deep purple body armor, and was armed with two, low-caliber, semi-automatic handguns, and one assault-class crystal pulse gun.

Suddenly the line of Enforcers errupted into flames. A hail of bullets washed over the crowd as the Dynasty Templars sped from different alleyways towards the Senate building. People ran and screamed as they tried to get away from these strange metal giants.
"G-6, take the Glassgows and put supressive fire on those enforcers! Watch those pulse rifles. Our shields can't hold them forever!" Vincent orderd from inside the Lancelot. The 14 mechs began firing their giant rifles at the remaning enforcers and politicians who were still outside.
"B-2, take the Gekka's and tske out any reinforcments that will be coming in!" he ordred. The Gekkas turned and trained their guns on the streets. Vincent turned to the waiting Gloucesters.
"We are going to take out the Senators. Follow me!" he yelled and surged forward. The five mech flollowed, capes flying and lances pointed.
