www.marriland.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=163203That is the official Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Metagame Tier List. And spoiler alert, Alakazam is NOT top tier (if you consider Standard Tier Top and Uber Broken). MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I actually think competitive Pokemon is neat and surprisingly strategic. If you have any comments or questions, I know lots, so ask here.

Silver was a very different metagame then (different tier list every generation). It was far more defensive than any other metagame. RBY was broken and reliant on Psychics (you could win a tournament with 6 Alakazams), GSC was of course defensive and very balanced, RSE was very speed oriented but had better Walls, and the Move Split in DPP (Ice Punch was a Special move using Special Attack in earlier generations but now is a Physical move because it is a punch and uses Attack) ruined many Walls, made Sandstorm broken, and fast Pokemon even more dangerous.
One of the best Pokemon...trainers in the world Marriland defeated a team of legendaries with mostly OU pokemon and a Level 1 Rattata (Fear Rattata in case you were wondering).

RBY = Smash 64. Tier gaps were huge. Only use characters that can combo :: only use psychics RSE = Melee. Speed. Fast = Top Tier So GSC = Brawl. Balanced and defensive gameplay

Yes. DP is...Brawl with Melee genes in your analogy. I kinda want to get into competitive Pokemon, and without internet I cannot battle you guys during my vacation, so I will have much time on my Pearl file...

WUT NO INTERWEBZ? We'll have to be visiting each other during the summer more than I thought.
"DP is...Brawl with Melee genes in your analogy" I really hope the next gen smash bros game will be like this.

Pro Pokemon is incredibly strategic, so it shouldn't be a problem. Pokemon is also a really good time killer, makes me reminisce, and is far easier to access than brawl sometimes (other people watching tv or whatever).

Stay away from pro-pokemon. I'm warning you, I won't let you get into EV and IV training, or any of the terrifying things poke-pros do that should never be done.

I had a flashback from the pokemon episode where Ash was on the video phone with Prof. Oak and Muk popped out of nowhere behind Oak and grabbed his head yelling, "MUUUUUUUUUK!"

Yea, there an even more foolproof one using Phanphy, Ice Shard (Ice version of Quick attack), Focus Belt, and REversal.
If anyone is interested in getting itno this stuff, I know a lot and can really help with movesets, strategies, teams, et cetera.

NOT MUK. You'll have to wait for Robert to get back from CT for that, but go to www.serebii.net if you're really impatient. It could help.
