Yeah, normally Marleigh is okay. But when someone bugs her (usually Larry), she just strikes back.
Also, Zach.... He and Matt get along too well. They just wouldn't stop talking today.

Also, Zach.... He and Matt get along too well. They just wouldn't stop talking today. I think Zach is the type that would keep the discussion going so he wouldn't seem like he is ignoring whoever is talking to him. If Matt wouldn't talk to Zach then Zach would probably never talk to Matt. |

lol, wow- maybe i need to figure out how to do that... i've managed to piss off a lot of people by just not talking, including my first, last, and only girlfriend... i'm surprised it lasted an entire week... now you all may laugh at me...

I wont laugh at you. I piss off ex-girlfriends by smiling when we break up (I usually get dumped because I never call and I'm awesome).
Just talk to the problem kids in the trumpet section about what they're doing wrong and make sure they make the effort to work on these faults.
The first Boat meeting was so much more productive than the one you came to, Anthony. Mrs. Kosicki is basically afraid of Mote like most people, with good reason. Time and time again Mote has lashed out at the kids of parents who disagree with him. He shouldn't have been at the meeting. I'm not sure I like Rice at the meeting either, but Mote definitely should NOT have been there. He just wants to control everything, and it results in people not being able to speak freely.

Hey, Lucco, I want in on this Boat. When they said "social committee", i was totally like, No way, i want to do something important. Then it morphed into this, which is what i was looking for. So, yeah, that would be cool.

WHAT?  ? Mote was at the Boat meeting? That's not right. The whole point of the social committee is communication. That can't happen if he doesn't give the committee a chance to discuss what needs to be discussed with Mote. The Boat needs to have time for its own Mote-free meetings before actually meeting to talk with Mote. You're right. He does just want to control everything. But if he wants a successful band, he needs to GIVE UP SOME OF THAT CONTROL. Nothing successful ever came from someone having total control. At least, nothing good ever comes from total control without communication and understanding of what was communicated. |

Michael, your right. Mote needs to not be at the Boat meetings. as a recommendation to the Boat, don't meet at school EVER AGAIN otherwise Mote will definitely wonder why he wasn't included. Have it at someone's house or a coffee shop or something. REMEMBER: THE BOAT WON'T FLOAT IN THE MOTE.

Mrs. Kosicki plans the meetings, not The Boat. They're planned for after practices anyways, so all we can do is meet in the ensemble room instead of the office and ask Mrs. Kosicki to bar Mote from at least part of the meeting.

Or you could have your own meetings and then meet with them. Maybe have a short meeting with only the students in the Boat before practice, then meet afterward with everyone there.

I think Mr. Rice shouldn't go either. Last meeting he just messed with his phone or fell alseep, plus he took the space of 3 people (no offense to him). If we didn't have him we could fit people like Jimmy or anyone else that wants to go.
