Ok, I could keep going, but I'm going to stop and not even bother to argue. You probably can memorize things faster than me. (I challenge you to memorize the trumpet part starting this Tuesday, and I'll memorize the tuba part. But we can't start until Tuesday, otherwise the cheater is disqualified. I'll print out an extra 1st trumpet part, and you print a tuba part, and we'll trade at practice.)

Let's only do Greased Lightnin' for now. We each print out our copy of the song, and we'll trade on Tuesday. Whoever has it memorized the best by next Tuesday wins. We'll be graded on pitch accuracy, tempo, style, and dynamics by Anthony and Josh. 45 points for pitch, 10 for tempo, 30 for style, and 15 for dynamics. Best out of 100 wins. Sound good?

A week is too long, especially since we have vacation. I say have it ready by that Thursday. It is a competition of whom can memorize it fastest, after all.

Alright. Sounds good. Two days to memorize it... We still have to tell Josh he's judging. And I think, instead of pitch accuracy, in the accuracy category should be included fingering accuracy. As long as you finger the right note, you should at least get half credit, even if you crack the note or hit the wrong partial. By the way,
CADETS AND SCOUTS FTW!!!!!

wait, accually i forfet
im pretty sure that i would learn the trumpet part really fast and i think it might interfere with my memorization of the tuba part and the same would probably happen to you
so lets not brain screw ourselves

Yeah, you're probably right. No forfeit... mutual withdrawal. www.dci.org/scores/lolol Teal Sound came in first out of one! And notice how the Alliance (barf-boy band) was only for "exhibition." And like I said before: CADETS AND SCOUTS FTW!!!!!

Well Michael, I kinda figured the Alliance was doing it for exhibition because they didn't have any on-field judges.
Oh...it was the Corpvets..not the Corvets..lol. I thought the Spirit did better than 4th..but I don't think they had a lot of technical stuff or anything that stood out.
It's funny how all the bands came in the place the order they came in (or reverse, for that matter), except for Spirit.

Yeah, that is weird. I thought the Scouts would get first or second. I'm glad the Cadets got first, but I still think the Scouts did better than the Vanguard. And the Spirit did pretty well too, so it's a competition between the Vanguard and Spirit.

I did not like the Cadets show at all...
Scouts were amazing, and I;m glad Teal Sound did so well.

I liked the Cadets. I just didn't like the narrations. It got in the way of one of their trumpet solos. The Vanguard's signature V flash is always cool to see too.

yeah i loved the vanguard! and how loud and controlled the scouts' sound was on their first note was just amazing! the best part was all the visuals each drum corp. did. we need those kinds of visuals or something similar in our show. think how awesome it would be!

The only problem is that their music was... I don't know how to describe it.... it sounded more like marching band music than ours does. So a lot of the visuals they did won't really work that well with our show. But we can still come up with a few of our own visuals.

The thing about DCI is their music is just walls of sounds with no theme to it.
