Aaawww... when did he say we're at Booth? .... I just thought of something. How are we supposed to fix the sets if we don't have any lines to dress to? Mote said we didn't need lines for the basics since we rarely use 8 to 5 steps anyway, but we can't do a show unless we have lines.

We might just do more basics on Monday and then hopefully on Tuesday we'll be back at Etowah. He said we're at Booth before we went swing dancing I believe.

Anthony, I forgot to say this yesterday, but we need to bring extra pairs of shoes to tie together and hang over our trumpets. Could you bring another extra pair (one for you and one for one of the freshmen). I have eight pairs, but I'm not sure how many of them I can bring, and Wes is going to help out and bring some, and I've already told Geof, so if you can bring an extra pair, we should have enough.

I'm not going to worry about horn angles until about mid-next week. We'll warn them, and if they don't improve then we're going to have to whip out the shoes. Hopefully by then we'll be on the asphault so we don't have to worry about getting our socks too dirty.

I just forgot to mention it yesterday, and so did Conner and Adamczyk. It's mandatory for all brass (except maybe tubas). Mr. Rice called all brass leadership for a short meeting on Wednesday and said that we needed to have everyone bring an extra pair of shoes or ankle weights to work on horn angles. He doesn't want to take any chances of having anyone getting used to having bad horn angles. We're starting off the year with good horn angles right away.

actually we could make them switch with baritones if it gets really bad. Yes you would like that wouldn't you, lol ;D @michael: All right, fine by me. I still think we should warn them before we commit. We can't just punish them and not give them a chance.

Yeah, we'll give them a warning tomorrow, but we still need to have the shoes with us anyway. And if they don't get their horns up after two or three warnings, we'll whip out the shoes.

Yeah, bring an extra pair for yourself and one pair for one of the freshmen because I forgot to mention it on Friday, so they don't know about it. Plus, if we do it this way, we can keep it in reserve without them knowing, in case horn angles get really bad all the time.

Baritones already weigh like 18-20 pounds so it'd be like taking a baritone and putting on a pair of shoes.

I think that should be reserved for people like Ryan Barden and Chandler Estep (who aren't doing marching band this year). For everyone else, we use laps... I mean, reminders

no, during the sectionals he kept playing during a rest on greased lightning so the entire lowbrass had to run a spirt lap best part was it was to the etowah band room door and back so we all got dirty looks from construction people

Wait, Rob gave all low brass a Spirit Lap to the Etowah band room? Or was it Chris? And was Josh doing it on purpose? Unless he was doing it on purpose (which I really doubt), that kind of thing calls for push-ups for self-discipline, not laps. If he was doing it on purpose, then only Josh should have had the lap, and only a lap down to the other side of the field and back (stairs included).
