its all in the finger! just flick it across "x" or "y" and bam u short hop, is very hard with fox but im going to master it!

Yeah, short hopping takes time to master. The thing I still don't have down completely is DI and learning what my opponent is going to do, a.k.a. mindgames. With nubs, it's easy, but with pros, they move very quickly and dashdancing just basically makes me baffled. It's probably the best way to beat me: dash dance constantly.

Short hopping is the biggest problem I have, for I know so much can be done with it. Every time I try I fail so hard, jumping over my opponent and getting punished for the missed aerial.
I will make sure to watch those videos as much as possible.

eh aside from videos, like jason said, u really just need to practice, those 2 things alone will make you pro! nothing else can make you pro (unless you have fairy god parents like timmy turner, and wish for skillz!)
