I'm about to get political people, so strap on you're stupid and brace yourself.
What is it with American minority groups and rights, anyways? Why do they want them. Seriously, black people insisted on a whole war just so they could get their precious freedom, and even after that, they wanted to VOTE. Then the selfishness carried over to those insubordinate women, and they wanted to vote. Stupid feminists...think they're so smart. Now even the immigrants want rights. Why the hell do people want to be in the Land of Golden Opportunity anyways. Just because our immigrant friendly propaganda campaigns were set in place, immigrants just assume they can come in the country, but I digress. GAYS.
That's right, the gays expect rights now. They want to MARRY, and ADOPT, and BE SOCIALLY ACCEPTED. How dare they. They should just sit down, shut up, and allow straight white male Republican Congressmen dictate what a minority group can and can't do regardless of the value this country has set on equality for all men. WHY THE HELL CAN'T GAYS ACCEPT THIS?
Seriously, people, how can someone choose to decide someone's rights for them. Gays are people too, and even if you disagree with homosexuality and consider it immoral, that doesn't matter because Gay rights don't affect you. Just let it go and allow people to do what they want. It's called tolerance.
I realize that I've basically started a wildfire of debate and conflict here, but lets not get carried away. I'm just trying to get my opinion out and maybe change some minds in the process, but don't let this thread or any other things I'll put in this section ruin friendships. This is meant to be a section of the forums dedicated to politics, the sharing of opinions, and other stuff that actually matters in the real world. Remember: don't get carried away.

lol, Austin is black, be warned.
And Lucco, I hope you purposely contradicted yourself, with the whole gay discussion, because if you didn't, it wouldn't make sense.

You guys do realize that everything but the last two paragraphs was saracsm, right? It's called the Satire Channel for a reason. People, if you don't understand a word, look it up. Satire is the comedic use of sarcasm, usually to accomplish the task of conveying a point or opinion. Someone strapped on their stupid a little too tightly...

ok now to play the Political Debate games...............
i have mixed veiws on the whole gay rights issue but i think that gays should have rights to somethings and not others, like i belive that gays should not be able to adopt
illegal immigrants asking for rights is infuriating, if they want rights they should become a citizen. hey i have an idea lets let everyone who does stuff illegally have their rights, maybe murderers should have the right to walk out of jail (there is your satire Lucco)
next thing you know crack heads are going to want their rights. unless america makes her stand now!!!

That's sarcasm, not satire, Justin. And as for becoming a citizen, that's almost impossible now unless you're willing to wait about three years. They are allowed in the country for six months at a time if they have a green card (which is also almost impossible). By rights for immigrants, I mean citizenship, genius. That's what they've been protesting for, which you would know if you WATCHED THE NEWS. Like I said, somebody strapped on their stupid too tight.
I enjoy politics.

i think gay marriage is a great thing. now they can be as miserable as everyone else ( or at least 60% of people) who gets married.

it's ridiculous though. i think the main reason that people are against gay marriage is because they are afraid that gay marriages are actually going work out well. but that's just me.

Politics...hmm...I think people need to see the world and try and take both sides before talking about politics. We all have opinions, but politics should be as unbiased as possible to accurately and effectively keep a country going.

People oppose gay marriage because the bible opposes a man marrying another man. The cover-up that politicians use for this obviously Christian ideal is that if gays can get married it will destroy the sanctity of marriage (so much for separation as church and state). As for gay adoption, it's considered a victory that gays can't breed, and they want to perpetuate that fact by not allowing them to adopt. They might pass on the gay disease.

Green card are readily avalible to anyone who wants them and it only takes about three months to apply for one and recive it the only reason that illegals dont get green cards and apply for citizenship is because it is easier to just hop a fence so before you make bold statments on my stupidity why dont you do some reseach so you can accually know what you are talking about and watching the news is not research, the media is full of crap. they will tell you anything to get their story and a paycheck so they twist things so they are worse. because bad news sells furthermore sarcasm and satire are the same thing exept for satire is used to make a pointusually political, which was the point for my satire

Are you naive enough to believe that if you could get a green card as an immigrant being threatened with mass deportation, you wouldn't. Green cards are supposedly readily available to the public, but they aren't. My grandpa has been helping a homeless Mexican immigrant get his greencard and citizenship, but it's been about 3 years and no progress has been made. If you want to get a greencard in three months, the circumstances have to be perfect to an extent unimaginably unattainable. If those perfectly impossible circumstances aren't met, then get ready for a long wait. A LONG wait. I've been involved in this process attaining citizenship when trying to help my grandpa, and it isn't pretty.
Next time you tell me the news is dumb, I would have real facts at the ready. You see, current events are rather important, and there are few sources better than the news to stay informed on them. The internet is okay too, but not as reliable. If you're worried about the inevitable bias that accompanies large media outlets, WATCH MORE THAN ONE. Just watch both a conservative and a liberal channel. It's not that difficult to get around bias, so don't sit there and whine about it.

Online news is alot more reliable than watching it on Television because there are alot less restrictions on what can and cant be said. if you watch a news channel and then go on to their web site its almost like looking at two different stories

Online news depends on the source for reliability. If you know where to look, it's usually accurate, but still biased.
It's a lot harder to get a green card now than it was 10 years ago because there's a flood of illegal immigrants applying for one.

(may take longer i dont know im not an immigrant) is still a long time a person could get somthing from japan in less than 2 weeks i think the government really needs to rethink its immigration plans ohh and just for laughs the green card is accually blue

The government is rethinking immigration, just in all the wrong ways. That's why we have a pointless wall now.

Yeah, and if the border control shoots and kills an illegal, he goes to jail for it. +1 Karma for the government.
