I decided to visit www.serebii.net for the first time since Platinum was first announced, and the first important thing I see was that Madeleine Blaustein died in her sleep. For those of you who don't know her, perhaps this will give you a hint: Meowth, that's right! Yep, she was Meowth's voice actor for hundred's of episodes and 8 movies...It really saddens me because Meowth and his pointless but funny commentary always made me think "Perhaps Diamond and Pearl" isn't that bad. But now not even he is there... You should all pay your respects to her in this thread. R.I.P. Madeleine |

Yeah, I heard about it on Pojo. I really liked the episode where they developed Meowth's character and showed how he learned english.

Yea, that was one memorable episode of Pokemon. I feel kinda bad for Meowth that he never got the lady...It's also kind of sad that he never got into Giovanni's good favor...So much things left to do. Sigh...

Yea, Meowth will still have his regular appearances alongside Team Rocket and their fail antics...But it just won't be the same.

they probably have some already recorded episodes, so we probably won't notice the change immediately. I would hope that they find someone who can do or imitate the voice close to what it was, since, unlike Ash, there is no reasonable explanation as to why his voice changed. You know, Ash got older, so his voice changed.

I find it funny that Ash keeps getting older and older and yet his voice is STILL done by a female voice actor. Puberty apparently means nothing to him. I also find it comical that as he gets older he keeps getting a new, younger female companion. First he had Misty who was in her mid teens and old enough to be a gym leader. Then there was May, and according to the official rules of Pokemanz everyone starts their Pokemanz journey at age 10. Ash was probably about 3 years older at this time. Then a year or 2 later he meets Dawn who seems ridiculously younger than May. Pokemon sends an awkward message to children.

At least in Yugioh, Yugi had his millenium puzzle and turned into super puberty so it wasn't like 17 year olds were hanging out with a 9 year old.
