Well, it doesn't xactly hinder the game, it just is annoying. And it gives opponents a small free window.

It hinders the game to an extend. You have no idea how random factors affect competitive play. That's why tournaments try to keep that variable as low as possible such as having no items and basic stages ie final destination. Here's a situation: $5000 is the grand prize. Two of the best players in the world are on the very last match of the entire set in the grand finals. Both players are on the last stock and are at 130% damage. Player A trips in front of Player B. Player B does a smash attack and wins the whole enchilida. See? Player A had no control of tripping and because of the random factor, he lost. It does hinder the game, but to an extend.

CHAIN GRABS MUST DIE!

Chain grabs are the metagame for the time being. It's a good way to rack up damage and they're hard to escape. Don't be upset, learn to live with it. Yesterday when Jason came over he showed me the Marth grab glitch against Lucas. I can't escape it until I'm at 100% damage. I didn't complain, I'll just switch my character when I have to verse Marth or Charizard now. Lucco, floaty characters are hard to chain grab so just use Luigi when you fight Jason.

I think chaingrabs should die too they're cheap way to get damage on someone and are almost inescapable back to falco, i say he is a good character, hes not my best but i win plenty against mykal without chaingrabbing

I don't think it's cool, but I live with it. If you know how to DI you can escape almost everything, except chain grab infinites, but that's why you have rules like stage banning. See? It's all fair, that's why I can live with it.

Something good for MLG to do would be make certain stages banned only if certain characters are present. There are too many stages that are banned b/c of D3's infinite, but if D3 isn't present, those stages should not be banned for that reason. And Anthony: i was wrong about the c-stick thing; it works like that on Soul Calibur and i got it mixed up .

Falco's really good, considering that all of his aerial moves auto cancel and his fsmash has ridiculous amounts of range. His shine still comes out in 1 frame, which is invaluable, and it even trips if you hit with the tip of it. He still has an amazing approach with SHDOUBLELASER.
Falco's good.

I find that his FSmash comes out too slowly for me to use effectively. Also, DI has made his dair all but useless when its not used directly over the edge or on an edgehogging person. I'm not saying falco is bad (Jason's right, he is good), but they definitely diminished how dangerous he is since melee.

They banned certain stages for certain characters in SSB64, so they should be able to do it in Brawl. The only difference is they banned Saffron City if Ness was on it, because of Ness's gimpable recovery, not because anyone is super broken on it.

Also, DI has made his dair all but useless when its not used directly over the edge or on an edgehogging person. But it's fairly balanced considering Falco has a chain grab that combos into dair. I also wouldn't be surprised if someone started a new pillar for Falco again. People are already Pillaring with G&W - Dair -> up-b -> rinse and repeat. It's not nearly as dangerous as Falco Pillar in Melee, but it can be linked together on a player that has never experienced it before.

I only wished they kept Falco's nair and up-tilt the same. Sure, that's still cloning Fox, but I don't like Falco's new moves. He also gets gimped just as easily as he did in Melee, and they ruined his side-b spike, making the gimping of Falco not as punishable as it should be.

personally i enjoy using both of those moves, especially the up-tilt. its, not powerful, but can be comboed into his nair, which i find to be very useful because of its practically random hit boxes. It also auto cancels really well.

They pretty much do the same job, but I just liked the Melee animation for some reason.
