You've seen pro combo videos for brawl. They require incredible reflexes and intimate knowledge of your character's moves, so I think the pro game will still exist as separate from kids who are just having fun. Yeah, but all the responses to the video are along the lines of "99% of all that could have been escaped", which is true. We can only wait for the metagame to develop from those who were truly destined to play this game. ...also the realistic physics engine... Yeah, like because the world is super floaty and we all can jump twice in the air.

never mind. anyway, laserlocking aside, i prefer Brawl Falco to Melee Falco. He just seemed more ...accessible to non-pro players, whereas in Melee he took skill to use. Skill is the wrong word. You had to be pro to use him effectivley.

I'm going to try to get in the Brawl meta-game. We'll see who revolutionizes who...

You had to be pro to use him effectivley. You had to be pro to use anyone effectively. If you think anyone in the band is good then you need to go on youtube more often. Oh yeah, this is the Lucario board, you were talking about Falco xD

A new character discussion thread goes up every Monday. Tyler C, you screwed it up by making a Falco thread on Saturday. But that doesn't matter since you didn't know, and it'll reset next Monday. On page 2 of this thread, you started talking about Falco and his lasers, and this is the Lucario thread. I'll be deleting the confusion posts above to keep things organized.

You can announce that you will make the thread before hand, or it is first come first serve.

I just read this on SmashWiki and it is a good point...Lucario is not super pro when he hasn't taken damage, so he is disadvantaged against low-percent killers. It is saying Lucario is still good, but usually will not put out the damage needed to kill those opponents as fast as they will kill Lucario. I wonder what a more experienced Lucario has to say about this...

But your point was the main point I was trying to get out. I guess smashwiki knows how to explain stuff better >.>

O ok, I see. Lucario is definitely, the more I look at it, low high/high middle. However, if you are a stock ahead and at a good percent, Lucario is in good shape to win. Just like in DP, going for the late-game sweep lolololol (although I think he can sweep earlier and is also a wall breaker...).

WHATEVER THAT MEANS @_@ Lucario is good, but I'd have to find a really good Lucario player to convince me that Lucario is really good

(...tears) Jk, I know my Lucario needs work. Jason's is pretty good, and check out the pros. A good Lucario is vicious, but he is such a gamble, no matter how pro you are. The Aura thing will keep him in Awkward Tier, as he can do many things like chain throw, "combo", and kill, but usually never at the same time (low damage, low/middle, middle/high). Mainly you need control of the match for Lucario to be good.
PROTIP: Lucario gets even more powerful when he is behind in a battle, and his normal increase maxes at 182% (WTF number but that's what it is).
And Anthony, Sweeping is where you increase your sta...no one is into that metagame so interest is lostt.

Meh...
I've seen some Azen videos playing as Lucario and they weren't like.."wow, Lucario is broken", but then again it is Brawl and you won't see too many amazing things.

The only really broken character is G&W, so no surprises. Remember that super-pro Lucario video you posted? Lucario could be higher tier but will probably never be fully developed enough.
And about Brawl...I was thinking...you know how much of Melee's advanced techniques were not disclosed by Nintendo (like teching) but were there...I have this strange feeling there is SOMETHING in Brawl..like the wavedash not in the move but how it was completely accidental in discovery but gamebreaking...it may be wishful thinking, who knows.

Robert, you won't believe, Yoshi can wavedash. Go to the Yoshi Character discussion on smashboards and look for Dragonic Reversal.
And that pro Lucario video...almost all of the combos were on Wolf, and he is really easy to gimp because of his recovery, but it is still amazing nonetheless.

I do play a decent Lucario. I've compared my gameplay to other videos I've seen, and I'd have to say I can probably do better against people than what they do. Just my 2 cents.
