this was a Triumph im making a mote here huge success its hard to overstate my satisfaction
ETOWAH MARCHING
you do what i want, because i say for the good of all of us exept for those who quit band
now there's no sence crying over every missed set you just keep on trying till i force you to quit and when the show gets done think of all the great fun for the people who are, still in band
im not even angry im being so sarcastic right now even though you sped up on greased lightning
just wait until monday im gonna practice all weekend for this as im writing these speeches, i am so happy for me
now these Moteivational words make a beautiful line and im out of ruffdraft im releasing on time and im glad you sped up think of all the things i learned for the people who are still in band
Go ahead and leave me i think i prefer to stay in band maybe you'll find someone else to direct you
maybe Estal20 THAT WAS A JOKE HAHA FAT CHANCE anyways his bike is great its so expensive and new
look at me still speeching when there's practice to do when i look up the stands it makes me glad im not you
Iv'e got bands to run and some speeching to be done for the people who are still in band
And believe me I am still in band. I'm old as dirt and I'm still in band. I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still in band. While you're dying I'll be still in band. And when you're dead I will be still in band.
still in band....... STILL IN BAND

*clap clap clap*
So, yesterday we had a lot of fun in the stands, but Mote pulled the professional card. Then he got pissed at Greased Lightning.

I'm not going to lie, GL was getting pretty off.

It was way off, but the snares were speeding up for some reason, and because the freshmen trumpets don't watch, they go with the percussion beat, and it falls apart. I can't wait to here the Mote speech.

Oh yeah, why don't you log in anymore? I made you an admin because you were really active and you had a nice knowledge of smash. Now you hardly ever get on.

IT'S ALL A LIE.
I am NOT looking forward to hearing another speech where we all get degraded for the mistakes of one or two sections. I didn't mess up, I don't want to hear it. If Mote wants to yell at somebody, he can do it in private. I'm really tired of hearing this, because I don't make these mistakes. I'm looking at brass here. Low brass. Tubas. Both of them. BRING YOUR DAMN MUSIC. As for everyone else, learn to look at the person conducting. That's one thing surprisingly few people do.

Beth can't conduct. Its a s simple as that. But besides that, the bass drums were watching her. The Snares and Jarret sped up.

Beth can conduct, but she can't handle it when someone speeds up or slows down. Ryan is usually able to save the band from train wrecks, but Beth still needs work on doing that.

Lucco, you can't say you didn't mess up. You might not have fallen from Beth's tempo, but if the percussion speed up and get off beat, and you're still playing with Beth's beat, or the other way around, you messed up, just like everyone else. Stop having a TRUMPET EGO.
It wasn't just the percussion and trumpets that messed up. Percussion sped up, trumpets tried to speed up with the percussion, but failed, and low brass tried to slow down to stay with Beth, but got too slow and failed too. I got so lost in the jumble of music that I just had to stop playing. It's not one person's fault. It's not one section's fault. It's everyone's fault.
And Lucco, we all know Mote's speeches are tiring. We all have to listen to him. You're not the only one who has to deal with his speeches for others' mistakes. Just find something productive to do while he's talking, like fingering through your music, whether it's marching music or your All-State etude or your solo for Solo and Ensemble. None of us want to hear Mote's speech on Monday. Stop complaining about how Greased Lightnin failed and it wasn't your fault, and now you have to listen to Mote all period. We're in the same position.

Yeah. In the stands after we won Beth had us play Greased Lightnin'. When we got to the drum break the snares took off without Beth and sped up to an unbelievable speed. Jarret followed suit, but the basses tried to slow it down to Beth's speed. The Trumpets followed the snares tempo and Mote cut us off. He didn't say anything, but you could tell he was pissed.
When we got back to the Band Room, he said "We'll talk about Greased Lightnin' in the stands on Monday."
The funny thing is, we didn't fall apart. It held together even at the insane speed it sped up to.

The funny thing is, we didn't fall apart. It held together even at the insane speed it sped up to. What are you talking about? It did fall apart. The trumpets didn't keep up with the snares, and the low brass were behind, so the trumpets and low brass somehow ended up being together. But the snares were a beat ahead of us... actually, the entire drumline was ahead. Basses too. We finished the drum break, and the drumline was together, while the hornline was together. But the hornline wasn't with the drumline.
