Just in time for Halloween. The main character, Ash, was the inspiration for Duke Nukem. Although, he doesn't start spewing out one-liners till later in the series.
WARNING: This film is pretty extremely violent, but the gore's purpose is to be over the top and unbelievable, thus setting the correct atmosphere for a truly unbelievable movie. The series is a satire of the horror genre. When you are watching this movie, be extra vigilant. Some of the humor is based upon visual gags. SPOILER Example: when ash gets into a fight with his hand he traps it under a pile of books. The book at the top of the pile is A Farewell to Arms. lol, irony

my dad worked on Army of Darkness. in the graveyard scene after Ash has the book and he's taken down by the skeletal arms, my dad operated the skeletal arms that are grabbing Ash's waist area.
