Wario

there's a good number of characters in Brawl that require studying before using. Wario is one. At first glance his bike doesn't seem that great, but is actually really good. (Doesn't he get 5 jups with it?)
also, how useful is his down-B? (Wario Waft)

It's terrifying when charged, if you can hit with it (small hit box). Don't forget the timeless short hop to n-air or d-air. Good Wario strategy.

He doesn't get 5 jumps from his bike, but he has about 5 jumps in total. Primary jump, air jump, bike, wario waft, up-b.

Apparently Wario is good now, so let's revive this thread. I haven't paid much attention to Brawl, so what makes him so good? Is it his fast aerials?

I didn't even know this thread existed.

Wario is Melee Jigglypuff. He has so much horizontal air movement that he can weave around through the air, which means he can use an aerial, DI backwards, and avoid shield grabs. His tilts, although slow, can be used to follow up an aerial for a two hit + combo. His forward tilt can be used to kill if kept fresh, his up-tilt can be followed by an up-air. Speaking of up-air, it's the best aerial vertical killer in the game (or maybe Fox up-air, I'm not sure.)

All right, so as I typed this up I felt some Deja Vu. Then I realized we were on page 3. I thought this was page 1 so that's why I said "I didn't even know this thread existed" even though I posted on page 1.

As I look back on page 1, my summary of Wario is pretty much how it is at this point in the metagame. However, Wario's Chomp is actually turning out to one of his better moves. You can actually chain grab with it, and it's great to use when your opponent uses their shield. Also, using Wario's bike to approach isn't as bad as I thought. It still gives him super armor, but what people are doing is driving towards their opponent, and hopping off at the right time so the bike falls off the stage.

The other great thing about Wario is that you can screw around during your matches and still win. You can taunt while you ride your bike, use a mini fart if you just feel like it, or use Wario's taunt that makes him turn around and shake his butt.

ALSO!
If you use an uncharged fart near an opponent it'll make them trip. Awesome or awesome?

Oh yeah, his forward smash has super armor, making it super awesome.

I forgot, his forward aerial can be used as a wall of pain off the edge, or if your opponent is smart you can force an air dodge. Either way it's really good. He then can make it back to the stage using his bike and other recovery options if needed. Wait, did I already say this? @_@

Oh yeah, Down-smash is major suxx0rs because of the lag. It's one of Wario's moves that you shouldn't use. Unless you're using it to taunt lol.

former* best Melee Smasher. He's kinda bad now (unless he's gotten better since he came back to America) because he's been playing so much Brawl. He's a really fast-paced Falcon player. I've only beaten him a few times.

True that. If you crave speed you can always ride your bike everywhere. Plus Wario is almost as manly as Melee Captain Falcon.

Wario eats shit and doesn't afraid of anything. Did anyone see my epic bike spectacular in that match against Robbie and Jonathan. I ran over their shit so many times IN A ROW. Tyler was my partner.
