Good, hopefully that will create less traffic. When someone is waiting in line for a brawl match, they can play melee instead.

I haven't really trained very hard on Melee in a while, but I started again today against a level 9 Samus, and I've been doing pretty well. I've worked out a few strategies... kinda - and I think I might be able to Randy now. But it's not very likely. Maybe if I get really lucky.

Just keep Randy in the air and don't roll dodge. You should win. Oh yeah, according to the "official" character match-up chart, captain falcon does best against samus out of any other character, so keep that in mind.

I talked to Jason (super god at super smash bros) about hosting a tournament for brawl and melee and he said if enough people chip in money we can rent out a game room and have the tourney there.

I talked to Jason (super god at super smash bros) about hosting a tournament for brawl and melee and he said if enough people chip in money we can rent out a game room and have the tourney there. dude, there's a place in marietta called Battle and Brew. its a gamer cafe that me and my brother used to go to and it has all the game systems and the best online gaming computers (not that we'd be using them). it would be about $4.00 an hour to use the big screen tv's, but i'm not sure if you have to be a member to go there. on the bright side, however, it's easy to become a member.

That might be an option... but the place I'm talking about will be big enough to contain all of us, and we won't have to worry about random 12 year olds wanting to play with our stuff.

little kids don't go to there and barely anyone uses the wii's. Yeah then we might really consider this. But remember this is still all up in the air.

I have defeated the mighty Randy...in Brawl. Not that impressive seeing as how Samus sucks in Brawl, but I did choose the random character button and ended up with Mario, who I rarely use. He doesn't do well if you go on the defensive. Shield grabbing baffles him and jumping his missles for my patented ground-spike turned out to be an effective strategy. Yeah, it turned out that my erratic, unpredictably random anti-playing style ruins most people the first time I fight them. I may not be predictable, but I make stupid mistakes alot in Melee, although that bad habit hasn't really carried over to Brawl.

I don't think beating Randy in Brawl is a great accomplishment. That's almost like beating Randy in Melee if he used Pichu. Beating Randy in Melee when he uses Samus is good.

lol not many of the posts have to do with beating Randy. Besides, it's not really a big deal. I just felt it would be a good discussion topic.
