Marth is easy to get good with, but if you plan to win tournaments, Marth has the biggest learning curve out of the top and high tiers (in my opinion).
Watch videos of RoyR and Neo to get a feel of how Marth should be played.

um... I don't see how your practice would go to waste. If this was in Melee it would make sense because for some inputs you have to have frame-perfect timing, but this is Brawl we're talking about. You retain almost all of your skill...plus you're using Marth who is not technical at all. If you improved your mind games then those stick with you until you change your thought process.

ok I see your point..... in the begginging people so underestimated the potential of sheildbraker.....how it was so bad since it goes stright out in brawl...i think it is so much better. i also thing dancingblade became alot better for damage but not as good for recovery.... and best tactic ever for marth is DB oos.....i love it

I play a good Brawl Marth. Like...compared to Melee, mine's ridiculously better.
if you use your -->B at the peak of your 2nd jump, you get a little boost.
shield breaker is really good, but it's not as good as it was in Melee solely because you can't sweet spot it in Melee. Captain Falcon/Ganondorf could NEVER get back against a Marth player in Melee.

im not sure how significant of a boost the over B gets you after second jump, but i know they replaced over B recovery with Neutrak B....witch is one significantly large lunge into the stage (like ikes over B almost) but you have to be a decent amount above the stage......and since my melee marth was never good at all i would also have to say my brawl marth is much better....

Brawl Marth annoys me. Wario is where it's at. HE'S SO MUCH MORE FUN EVERYONE LEARN HIM.
