lolol Should we just combine this thread with the one I finally finished a minute ago? They're pretty much the same thing. Anyway, the list looks pretty good. I'd add a few flexibility and tonguing exercises like the Blue Devils warm-ups (from the book and from the videos I posted). A few other breathing exercises: Put your hands up like goalposts and turn like we do to stretch to practice keeping our shoulders parallel to the sideline. Breathe in for four counts hold, four, and breathe out for four while doing this. This helps with breathing in slides and breathing in general. "Blob of Anti-Posture": Self-explanatory. Breathe in every for four counts and out for four counts while becoming Mr. Rice's "Blob of Anti-Posture." Start at attention with horns up (without instruments), and when we reach the blob form, we'll hold for eight beats, then come back up into the perfect attention-horns up posture and stop. Another one, slightly similar to the last one, bend over and hang limp. Breathe in for eight counts. If you're breathing correctly, your stomach should push against your stomach expanding should force your upper body to move up a little. lol We should probably buzz FoEG too.

One thing we need to focus on with Jonathan if he comes, which I really doubt he will: tonguing. He doesn't tongue the notes. Supposedly, he used to be able to tongue, but he forgot. Now he barely even huffs the notes. No space, no edge on the note. So tonguing exercises are a must, as well as flexibility, tone, endurance, and breathing.

One thing we need to focus on with Jonathan if he comes, which I really doubt he will: tonguing. He doesn't tongue the notes. Supposedly, he used to be able to tongue, but he forgot. Now he barely even "hoo"s the notes. You hear a tiny huff, and almost no change at all. No space, no edge on the note. So tonguing exercises are a must, as well as flexibility, tone, endurance, and breathing. I could just work with him in lessons. I don't think we should work on learning how to tongue as a brass section + Lucco for just 1 person.

You don't breathe a note. But I'll change it to something a little less Stallings-ish. You can work with him during lessons, but I kinda want to do a little bit and see if I can help him out. Has Victoria fixed her tonguing problem yet? If she has, then maybe she can give a few tips. And anyway, Friday practices don't have to be full brass. We might take a few people out for private lessons. It's really their choice. If they want to do full brass, then they can. And if they want a lesson, we'll find a way to make that work too. I'm going to be doing those lesson reviews on Fridays too, so that could be a good time to work with him.

What? I was talking about this post:
You used "breath" multiple times as a verb. "Breathe" is the correct word. I was just letting you know because last year in your music you kept writing "Don't Breath" and I had to tell you to fix it xD

lol Wow.... I guess that's one of my typing problems. I usually write it right. Usually I have problems with writing an extra "e" after I write "th" because I'm used to writing "the" over and over again. Whatever. Fixed.

Sometimes I write "the" instead of "they". I have seen a lot of people with this same problem but WHATEV.
