I've seen my sister do both, and the first one is more of a patience/frustration test than idiot test, but I did it (6 times...I swear it was a rectangle!).

The 2nd one is really a trial and error memorization test. Like I could go through 20 questions of that test in 20 seconds.

It's not exactly trial and error, there is a lot of pop culture and hidden references to things in the questions.
