Alright, the forums have been too peaceful, so I'm dropping another controversy bomb on society.
In modern times, our great nation has taken another momentous step on the evolutionary chain. It's called dieting. In this country, we've became so aware of our own obesity that we've set in motion a pattern of starvation and food restriction that can only be good. If we have women so concerned with their own weight that they don't eat for days, it only serves to make our country lighter and more attractive, because that's all that matters. Outer beauty is the only true measure of a person, people, whether you like it or not.
This wonderful new fad has been greatly influenced by another movement in this country I like to call "The Media: Hollywood's Bitch." Have you ever turned on the news to see a story on an overly skinny, self obsessed celebrity like Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson? Well, these people have encouraged and served as an example for the women and girly men of our country, who nobly diet and starve themselves into bulimia and other eating disorders. Good for them, improving their self-image like that until they're a danger to their own health. That's the true American way.
Honestly, our society has become stagnant to the point that we must turn to celebrities who care nothing for anyone but themselves to direct us on how to live our lives. We've become so ignorant that the media sees celebrities and violence as the only two things that will keep the general public watching their programs. Are we really this dumb? Yes and no. It's not that we're completely ignorant, it's just our values have been warped by what can only be described as the perpetual bastardization of a society. We've degraded ourselves to the point where we don't see ourselves as good enough anymore. Instead, we look to the rich and famous to guide us, and the media knows and caters to that fact. Unfortunately, the rich and famous don't always care, leading us into our own cultural destruction. Unless we can avert our child-like gaze from Hollywood, there is little hope for the future of our society.
