As you all noticed, the website had undergone some changes yesterday at approximately 9:30 last night. Someone had changed the "home" icon to a big hairy man, and had changed the "popular thread" icon to an elephant going up the butt with his trunk to another elephant. The images were not that inappropriate to say the least, but they were pretty disturbing. They also changed "EHS Smash" to "EHS Poop Faces".
I do not know who hacked the site, and I do not know why they hacked the site. I don't even know how they hacked the site. I would do an IP check, but whoever hacked the site never logged in to an account or never signed in as a guest (which probably means they used a proxy).
As an admin, I have a security log that archives any changes to the site, and all that was recorded were icon changes at around 9:30.
I am not upset about the hack because I can simply change it back, but it really worries me that someone was able to get admin powers and change the site at their will. This means they can delete users, delete threads, and even delete the website. Perhaps the disturbing images was just a threat saying "hey, I can hack the site as I please, watch out or I'll delete the whole site".
So, I ask, if you were the one who hacked the site, please confess. I do not care why you did it or how you did it, and I will not punish you. I just ask you to not do it again and keep our site safe.

Hmm...That is disturbing indeed. I'm going to track down the person that did this and kill him/her myself. There aren't many people who are skilled with computer AND use the term "Poop Faces" frequently, so it shouldn't be too hard. This is war, Anthony. Don't be like Lincoln when he was readmitting the South to the Union. BE LIEK THOSE RADICAL REPUBLICANS AND SQUEEZE THE LIFE AND FREEDOM OUT OF THESE HACKERS. Ahem...Anyway, I won't rest (perhaps just a little) until I find this person.

Well, I think it would be rather simple to find out who it is. There are 40+ members, but only a handful are active. I already have a few people in mind so it shouldn't be too hard to find out who did it.

Alex Shelley is a novice when it comes to the inner workings of computers. He mentioned to me that he had been consulting with Steven recently, and as we all know Steven is a renowned haxxor. I'd look into it if I were you. |
