3rd Degree Burn Deck
Monsters - 15 Stealth Bird x2 Giant Germ x3 Ameba x1 The Immortal of Thunder x3 Nurse Reficule the Fallen One x3 Des Lacooda x2 Sangan x1
Magic - 15 Level Limit Area-B x1 Messenger of Peace x2 Mystic Box x3 Creature Swap x3 Up Start Goblin x3 Magical Mallet x3
Trap - 10 Gravity Bind x1 Bad Reaction to Simochi x3 Gift Card x3 Jar of Greed x3
Total: 40
This is the first competitive deck I have ever created. This deck is completely theorized. I haven’t tested it yet, and I don’t have any of the cards, but I’ve basically combined the classic burn deck with cards you normally see in an OTK deck.
The main strategy is drawing cards until you get The Immortal of Thunder, Mystic Box, and Bad Reaction to Simochi (or any substitute cards I have in the deck). First I activate Simochi, and then play Immortal of Thunder face-down. Then I activate Mystic Box to give control of Immortal to my opponent. I attack Immortal and they lose 8000 life points.
Side strategies: 1) Use Bad Reaction to Simochi or Nurse Reficule the Fallen One and combo it with Gift Card or Up Start Goblin 2) Ameba combos with Creature Swap or Mystic Box 3) Giant Germ is there for deck thinning, field presence, and burning.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please share them with me.

YOU STOLE MY GIFT CARD/REFICULE/SIMOCHI IDEA AND DIDN'T USE SOUL SNATCH? FAGGOTRY OF THE SECOND DEGREE (FIRST DEGREE WOULD HAVE BEEN USING SOUL SNATCH).

Oh. Use the Simochi trap card, and give thunder-dude to opponent, flip over, opponent lose 3000 Lp, destroy, opponent loose 5000 LP. YOu win.

Or you can just, by luck, draw a Bad Reaction to Simochi/Nurse Reficule and all 3 Gift Cards. Next turn, you deal 9000 LP damage and win. SWEET, SWEET VICTORY.

Only way to beat that strategy is a card called "barrel behind the door"
|
|
|
Post by Anthony G on Nov 30, 2008 19:39:31 GMT -5
Which is why you have another Barrel Behind the Door in your side deck just in case. Besides, if my theory is right, you can get all three necessary cards within a few turns, which will be too fast for the opponent to get Barrel Behind the Door.

No. There aren't really any strategies that are banned, just cards that create strategy, such as book of moon, last will, etc. Besides, no one is smart enough to realize that deck thinners (Jar of greed) can be combined with cards like Simochi, Mystic Box, etc and create super awesome combos. I bet this deck isn't even that good.

What are Synchro monsters?

Synchro monsters are special cards with amazing effects that are summoned by having a Tuner monster card and another monster. If both monsters' stars equal the Synchro monster's stars, it can be summoned onto the field. Some require a specific Tuner monster, but those are more uncommon.
Also, by using a card Buster Mode, Synchro monsters can be tributed for Buster forms of themselves, with 500/500 more attack and better effects. Also, when they die, their original Synchro forms are special summoned onto the field from the graveyard.

Synchro Monsters are a new type of monster I learned about by spending 10 dollars on a Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds starter deck. Since I don't want you to spend the same amount on those crappy cards (except for SCRAP IRON SCARECROW YEAAAAAAAA) I'll do my best to explain. Synchro Monsters, identified by their white card color, are a type of monster that is similar to a Fusion Monster. Synchro Monsters are placed in your Fusion Deck (Extra Deck) which has a limit of 15 cards. To Special Summon a Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, you need to have certain cards on the field. One of these cards is a Tuner Monster, which is a generally low level monster that has Tuner as its secondary type. Example: Next you will need a number of Non Tuner monsters. Any monster that doesn't have the word Tuner in its type description should suffice. Example: Now, to perform the Special Summon, known as a Synchro Summon, use must send ONE and only one Tuner monster and one or more non tuner monsters whose combined levels are EXACTLY equal to the level of the monster you want to summon. No more, no less. Since Junk Synchron is a level 3 Tuner, and Marauding Captain is a level 3 non Tuner, you could send them to the graveyard to summon a level 6 Synchro monster. (3+3=6) For Example: Aside from that, standard rules apply to Synchro monsters. If they are destroyed, you send them to the graveyard. You can use a card like Monster Reborn ONLY if you special summoned it properly first, unless the card says otherwise. If a Synchro monster is returned to your Deck or Hand, it goes to your Extra Deck where you must perform another Synchro Summon to get it back. I hope that was informative enough. I have to explain Synchros on YVD a lot so it should be. (P.S.: The cards pictured above coincidentally happen to be fairly easy to obtain and go great in a Warrior Synchro deck.)

i think that is basically everything there is to synchro, except you failed to mention one small thing. STARDUST DRAGON FTW!!!!! most of the synchro monsters have very good stats and or very good effects, for instance:
Stardust dragon 2500/2000 level 8, effect: You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that destroys a card(s) on the field, and destroy that card. If you negate an effect this way, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard during the End Phase.
Red Dragon Archfiend 3000/2000 level 8 effect: If this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls, destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls after damage calculation. During your End Phase, destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn.
Black Rose Dragon 2400/2000 level 7 effect: When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase.
Ancient Fairy Dragon 2100/3000 level 7 effect: Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. If you activated this effect, you cannot enter your Battle Phase this turn. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 Field Spell Card you control to gain 1000 Life Points, then add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
Crimson Dragon ????/???? level 9? effect: unknown
these 5 dragons are the 5 dragons seen in the new television show "yugioh 5d" (curently only airing in Japan) they are the most powerful of the synchro monsters and they have the best effects, all synchro monsters generally have better effects than you average card anyway.
Buster mode/Assault mode-this is an advanced form of the synchro monster, it requires the previous summoning of a synchro monster and the activation of a trap card called assault mode, this card will allow you to summon the Buster form of the monster onto the Field in face up attack position, you previous synchro monster is sent to the graveyard. The new buster card gains 500/500 (atk/def) and 2 levels. The effect is enhanced slightly. For each and everyone of the buster cards the last effect is when this card is destroyed you may special summon (insert previous synchro monsters name here) onto the Field in face-up attack position. There are also certain spell cards that help buster cards reach their full potential by increasing their stats and effects of certain monsters.
I hope my further synopsis on synchro monsters has helped you to understand them better.

Meh, the Buster Mode cards haven't been Americanized yet and neither has the dragon of the fifth Signer yet, so I didn't bother including any more 5Ds related stuff than was necessary. And 5Ds is out in America, fortunately. Sunday mornings on UPN/4Kids at 11:30.

That's stupid: the game is way too complicated now. I remember the good ol' dsys when Spirit monsters were new and Yata-Garasu wasn't banned.
