Last year I wanted to go to GA Tech. I then realized that southern poly has a program where you can go there for two years, take your major classes, and then transfer to GA tech no problem. I'm probably going to do that. No sense in working your butt off to get into GA tech when you can take it easy, get easily accepted into southern poly, and then transfer to tech.
I talked to the computer science guy and he said that a good percentage of people have that same intention, but they come into southern poly and like it so much that they end up not transfering.
So, I'm not sure what'll happen. I'll make up my decision in 2 years I guess. The only thing that worries me is
a) 17% female
b) GA Tech is like auto-acceptance for job applications.

Auto Acceptance for jobs is always a plus. It makes sure you're not a bum on the street with a Master's degree. I personally would transfer to GA Tech; it's the 7th best public college in the nation and ranked pretty well worldwide. I already have a predilection for the college, so my suggestion might be a little biased.

Dude, I have a good idea. Since it seems like so many of us want to go into the gaming industry, we should turn this site into "LOL College Game Design" once we all get in college.
