i'd say marth, jigglypuff, and shiek are broken. jigglypuff is the most broken out of all the characters though.

Did you forget about Fox and Falco?
The first tier list ever created had Jigglypuff as the best. I wouldn't say Jigglypuff is as broken as you think Rob, he dies too easily.

Today in Brawl my cousin and I did special brawl with high speed, high gravity, bunny ears, and metal. You could chain grab with almost every character. It was crazy.

I knew this guy who trained under Marty (number two in the state), and he says he likes Brawl a lot better because, like 64, Brawl is a game of fighting skill and not reliant on glitches/quirks in the physics to be victorious.

I knew this guy who trained under Marty (number two in the state), and he says he likes Brawl a lot better because, like 64, Brawl is a game of fighting skill and not reliant on glitches/quirks in the physics to be victorious. Wow I bet he got flamed a lot. This guy obviously must not be that good.. Smash 64 had L-Canceling, which was practically required if you wanted to be tourney viable. Glitches in physics gave depth to the game, and it's unnecessary to say that without glitches you will not be victorious. Aniki (pro link player) did not use any advanced techniques and has beaten Ken before. If he says he likes Brawl a lot better than he obviously never took the time to learn the techniques. Besides, Brawl has odd things in the physics that help people win. B-sticking, sliding up-smash, and some others I can't remember or have not yet been discovered. I'm sorry if I offend any of you by making this comment, but Brawl does not take as much skill as smash 64 or Melee. Sakurai made the gap between being good and being bad smaller. He made it slow paced so noobies can keep up, he made lack of hitstun so noobies won't be ripped apart, he made grabbing onto edges so easy so noobies won't complain. This guy must be really ignorant to think that a fighting game cannot have techniques that separate the good from the bad. In my opinion, the only skills Brawl takes are mind games and spacing. Sorry.

I think Brawl is just different and has to be adjusted to; you need a different mindset almost. I might be rambling, but I will not deny Melee had a tougher metagame to get into than Brawl will, but it was also less diverse. Brawl's metagame will be interesting and harder in the aspect that you have to learn a larger variety of characters to get accustomed to (although I have no doubts the metagame will get incredibly exclusive after a while). I mean, imagine Ike with wavedashing and L-canceling. Horrifying.

I am really looking forward to seeing Brawl's Metagame be developed. According to Mew2king, it involves using the most broken tactics and then being really gay. Like D3 chaingrab then D3cide the rest of the stocks.

that ike comment would be very horrifying and the D3 thing is horrifiying as well(but actually possible)

It is possible, how do you think people win tournies? Remember I said Sakurai made the skill gap smaller? That means at a competitive level almost everyone will be of equal skill. Since there are no tech skills, you'll have to resort to being really gay.

Or being really good at comboing. Although I hate chain grabbing, you are right in that it may be what the metagame becomes: a chaingrab spree.

so on brawl you have to be gay to win, robbie and tyler must be really good at brawl
jkjk about tyler, not robbie

Unless IC's grabs don't get banned, everyone will be maining them. This is how the match will be: mindgame until waiting for an opening, chaingrab -> chaingrab -> chaingrab -> forward aerial. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

That sucks. I'll only play lower tier tournaments if that's what the metagame will become.

Low tier tournaments take more skill than top/tier tournaments. I say for now on (in melee) we can only use characters that are below Link. Link should be Middle Tier, just admit it. *everyone flocks to young link*
