I want to make an all Snorlax team. This is for shoddy. I plan to win my first battle even though I know nothing of competitive pokemon.
1st Question: Is an all Snorlax team legal?
2nd Question: Should all my Snorlaxes be completely identical or should I mix them up?
3rd Question: What _________ should I give them? - Item - Nature - Hidden power - Ability -
4th Question: How should the IVs look?
5th Question: Where do I get EVs?
6th Question: What does (0/510) mean? How should I use it?
7th Question: Does making my Pokemon shiny have any affect other than color?
8th Question: What are the recommened movesets for Snorlax?
9th Question: What comments/suggestions do you have for me?

Easy enough for me to tell you where to go for most of that: www.smogon.comDO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT, use exactly what they give you to use. Make some changes and be creative, otherwise your opponents will know exactly what you're using. It wouldn't be so much of a problem with a snorlax (who is OU, but i rarely see), but just take that as a warning. Now for the answers: 1. Yes, all snorlax is a legal team as long as the species clause is not turned on, which means you can't be in a ladder battle; it must be an unrated match. 2. MIX THEM UP. If everything is the same, you can easily get swept by one pokemon. Make certain ones defensive, others attackers, and one should be an annoyance. 3. This will depend on what you want to make them. Some tips: -Jolly: Speed up, Sp.A down -Timid: Speed up, Atk down -Adamant: Atk up, Sp.A down -Modest: Sp.A up, Atk down Those are probably the most common, but the speed ones might not be very useful. Leftovers would probably be the best for you, unless you are using a sleep talker. Keep HP Dark for now (HP=Hidden Power), as it has the greatest IVs. For nature, switch between the two. If you give a snorlax leftovers, it can use that to negate poison, and can then use thick fat w/o fear. 4. Keep all IVs maxed, unless you want to use trick room or gyro ball, at which you should make the speed IV 0. 5.EV spreads can be found on smogon. Here's a quick overview: In regular Pkmn games, EVs are gained for battling. 4 EVs of one stat raises that stat by 1 point. In Diamond and Pearl, You can have a max of 255 EVs per stat, but since that isn't divisible by 4, the real max is 252. Also, the overall total of EVs that one pkmn can accrue is 510 (also not divisible by 4). An EV spread for a Jolly Lucario might look like this: Lucario (Jolly) 252 Atk/176 Spe/80 Def. This adds 63 extra points to Lucario's Atk, 44 to Spe, and 20 to Def. In shoddy, you enter a number between 0 and 255 into each of the EV spaces. Use some sense with it (don't give an Adamant pkmn 252 Sp.A EVs). AND USE SMOGON. 6. I explained that above. 7.No. As a side note, make sure you name your snorlaxes so that you can tell them apart. 8.Check Smogon. 9.Make sure you save the log pertaining to this first battle of yours and post it. It should be pretty funny. And after this, try to make a Ladder-Legit team.

Could a ladder-legit team consist of 5 snorlaxes and 1 blissey? Where can I find the rules for a ladder-legit team?

Ladder rules are: Timed Battle, Species Clause, Evasion Clause, Strict Damage, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, and Sleep Clause. You can read what they are when you challenge someone.

All Snorlax might work, but I do not believe he is strong enough to take on Tanks. A Heracross could destroy your team, Choice Band or Scarf.
Blissey is always a good addition, no matter what. There is no special wall better than Blissey, ever. You might also want a Skarmory, because Snorlax is a Special Tank.
If you really want to win, use Garchomp. He is not banned and has no counter except Bulky Waters or Super Defensive Pokemon that learn Ice Shard, which are both shaky if it Sword Dances once. Remember, using Garchomp is not honorable, and he is going to be banned soon.

Thanks for the tip; I was unsure when his banning was happening. Is he in the Standard server, or is Smogon the only one that matters? And Jimmy, get on. Quiero luchar.

TUrn one Blissey into a Special sweeping Gengar and one skarmory into a life orb gliscor. Than you have a semi-viable team.

This team will equal lolz. Give both of your Skarmorys Shed Skin so a Magnezone will not destroy you.

What are the chances that 1 PERSON will have a counter to all these strategies? Seriously, they only have 6 pokemon. I think I should just give my Pokemon the best qualities and hope my opponent doesn't have any counters for them lol.

There will usually be a team with a counter to one, but your team is really unique. A Magnezone will try and slaughter your Skarmorys (have ability to trap Steel types). Any strong fighting type might be able to takeout your Normal Types, or anything with offense.
I see a Mixmence being a humongous problem, as it will know Brick Break and Flamethrower. You could probably kill it before it completely destroys your team, but by then you will not have much left to prepare against an onslaught. Your team could win, but OU is so Physical you might have a problem.

Just to ruin your day, lucco, MUK gets raped in OU because of the massive presence of Earthquake.
And Anthony, watch out for any fighting type. They will do SE damage to 2/3 of your team and normal damage to the skarmorys (steel x2, flying x.5). So an Expert Belt Lucario would be your first biggest nightmare, with Wide Lens Gengar taking second (IMO). X-Belt Luke could Close Combat (probably OHKO) every single one of your pkmn, while WL gengar (wide lens adds +10% accuracy) could probably finish the job with Focus Blast (though it would have some trouble with Blissey, but could first sleep it before trying to kill it.

So should I substitute a Skarmory with a Gengar just to avoid Fighting types?

A Gengar would be helpful, and it would add a lot of versatility to your team.
