April Tourney '08

I have decided to start the tourney tomorrow (Sunday 4/05). It will last the entire month to accommodate everyone's schedule.

"I decided to change my mind (dang I've been flip-flopping like crazy lately.). The Tourney will still happen. It will just be over a span of time. The tourney probably won't even get past the first round this week, since people's schedules conflict."

Here are the tourney rules:

-Each match is best 2 out of 3. The final round match is best 3 out of 5
-4 stock
-No time limit
-No items
-1v1
-Double elimination (?)

-You must have the same gamer tag for every match
-You must show up within 5 minutes of your scheduled match time or you will be disqualified.
-In the case of a laggy match, you must play through it (you shouldn't get lag anyways since it is 1v1 and we all live pretty close to each other)

List of approved stages:
1 is most approved, 2 is so-so approved, and 3 is less approved.

You can pick any of the above stages, but please try to keep all stage picks in the "most approved" stages or even better, on Final Destination. If you have any other suggestions for stage picks I will consider them.

Kane, Jeff, and chester all are unable to play btw, Kane and Jeff do not own the game so they can only play it on my Wii, and chester is grounded for the entire week.

I am sure I will be, but this tourney seems kind of all over the place to me? Why don't we just postpone this tourney till we get more members in here and give people a little more time and have a little more organization?

Yeah, we have the members, we just need more people posting and viewing them

I think instead of having a "tourney" we'll just have 1v1 fun matches and try to get each other's brawl codes. I don't know when we'll have an actual tournament though

Yeah, but I am down with 1v1 fun matches.. I can play right now whenever someone wants me to, I have my AIM, Yahoo, and MSN addresses all up and active.... my E-mail is active, and you can post here too so between all of these you should get a hold of me. =P

Kane and Jeff will be able to join if they go to someone's house with good WFC. Chester will be able to join since we can schedule him after the break.

Meh still seems pretty complicated... it is difficult to get in contact with people when it is just kinda... not really set in schedule. When you have a specific date like Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 or whatever, people will know to go that that one time on that one day. But when it is just kinda... Over the next few weeks whenever... well... it is difficult to keep up and keep in contact with people and the line becomes so blurry that you start to ask yourself is there a point to even having a line? Anyways, I say in an attempt to make ourselves feel a little less disorganized we should just wait till we have more active posters... wait till we have more members, and next time we want a tourney have it posted and talked about and planned a few weeks in advanced that way people will not be jumped for time. Anyways I only aim to please/help with my suggestions. =)

You can change your character during the tourney at any time, but we are limiting you to one entrant in the tourney. Does that make sense or is that confusing?
